Rear caliper tool

I have a 95 Z28, and recently did a SSBC rotor and pad swap. Was i supposed to use a specialized tool to compress the rear calipers? or just a big C clamp?

Big C clamp has always worked for me.

I've always used a C-Clamp without a problem..

Ditto. C-clamp is the most common way. I do and have used a special tool but its not really any easier or anything.

The special tool (rent / borrow it from Auto Zone) is for rear calipers that rotate as the piston moves out; it's needed to 'screw' the piston back in...

We F-car owners don't need such a tool; just a big C-clamp!

Ok, thats kind of the answer i was looking for. I ordered the right rear caliper from Carquest yesterday, and I think on sunday Ill have time to put it on. When i take the original back off, is there anything i can look for that would make it hold too much pressure? The sliders/pins, however it works, seemed alot different from anything ive worked on before. If they were seized, that could obviously be part of the problem right? Ill keep y'all posted on what i do and what i find this weekend.
