Default clarke mig welders

i'm thinking about getting a clarke mig welder because of the price but they do come with a 10 year warranty on the rectifier and transformer and 2 year warranty on the rest. hopefully the link below works its a link to the kit i want to get not too bad for $375+ s&h.

While you're at it I would suggest you get a Auto-Darkening welding helmet, these are great when welding.

thats kinda what i was thinking. save me the trouble of lifting it all the time when doing alot of small welds in series. the first thing i'll weld with whatever i get will be a cart with hangers for the leads and helmet and a bottom shelf where i'll put a plasma cutter later on.

If you're going to be using Argon gas ( cleaner welds ) don't forget to include an area to mount your Argon tank.

i've already got my tank situation figured out instead of having it mount onto the cart i've build a dolly like carrier that'll hold several bottles (argon, oxygen, acetelyne, and carbon dioxide argon mix). that way i can do any kind of cutting or welding and have it all portable. argon is the best gas to buy but the mix is cheaper last time i checked. most of the work i'll do (exhuast) won't have to be pretty just leak proof. so i'll mainly use flux core wire unless i'm doin something special. i know your wondering about the oxygen & acetelyne tanks (i'll probably get the tank and torch that my dad has after he retires from farming) i'll want to have them with me so i can heat up nuts that won't break loose and bend rods to make exhaust hangers.

I would check out Hobart welders before I looked at Clarke. Hobart is made by Miller and is their cheaper line.
Maybe the Hobart Handler..
Basically the same as Miller welders with lower duty cycles..

i've looked at those but they don't sell the 220v as cheap as clarke does. i've looked at hobart and lincoln and they don't have anything at nearly the same price as the clarke that has as much power or can handle flux and solid wire.

The only thing I have to say about that welder is that it's flux core only.
I personally think you'd be better off with this one:

It's $426.91 at Tractor Supply.
All you need is a bottle of gas. It'll take you a lot longer to out grow the hobart welder over the clark (IMO).

no look ago it can do both i just have to buy the gas conversion kit later which is $50. for now i don't need anything but to do some welding that can be done with flux core. also that one you show is a 110v and i will not buy a 110 in any welder or plasma cutter.

So now for a difference of $10 you can get the Hobart.
I would let brand steer me on this one. Hobart is Miller...

Miller makes one of the best portable inverter TIG welders (Dynasty 200DX) and they will run off of 110V (and many other voltages...).

Eather way... you'll be welding
