Air Compressor
I bought this...
I do most of my work on a large concrete surface that is detached from the house about 50 feet... I don't have a plug on the outside of my rear porch where I want to leave the compressor. So, my question is:
Is it OK to use a 12 gauge 25 foot extension cord with this compressor 95% of the time? The built in cord is very short, and won't reach any plugs inside the house through the window. So, I'm using the extension cord through the window. Just going to run an airline underground to lead to the concrete pad that I work on...
The manual says that it's best not to use an extension cord, but that if you have to, a minimum of 14 gauge and no longer than 50 feet will do.
Thoughts? Am I risking burning up the motor because of this?
Im not an electrician though.
nice compressor, how do you like it? is it to loud with it being oil free?
Run times of air tools is great as far as I'm concerned. The 175 psi really helps.
