Exclamation LS Engine Transport Crate Dimensions??

Does anyone have dimensions of a LS truck motor to be able to build out of wood for transport?

I'm going to be picking up an LS truck motor, and hoping to build a wood dolly if you will...for transport in the back of my trailer.

I found dimensions of the engine several other places, but none give the width between engine mount brackets or mount holes on the blocks.

Normally with most motors, I just flop them on their side, ratchet strap/chain them down and go, but with an aluminum pan, heads, etc...I really want to transport this expensive motor the right way.

Anybody have plans or build their own out of wood for transport?
Or, do I employ the good ol' dead truck tire under the motor once again?

The only thing I was hoping to avoid was loading up the oil pan with the weight of the engine.

Dims of a truck engine, oddly enough with a Fbody pan

I wouldnt bother using the dimensions, just grab a pallet, chop saw and some scrap 2x4s. Cut them to fit and dont worry about it
