Default Is this a good air compressor

I dont know jack about air compressors but would like to add one to the garage. I came across this on Ebay. Dont know if its a good price or even a good product. But they will cover the freight costs on shipping it.

Seems like overkill to me, if you are just using it in your garage for working on the Camaro. I have a little 25 gallon, 6 hp, single stage compressor and it works fine for just car work. If you are sandblasting or something then it is not enough, but it works fine for ratchets, die grinders, cut off wheels, etc....I got my compressor from Northern Tool when they had a free shipping promotion. You cannot beat free shipping AND a 6 payment plan with zero interest on it.

It's what I have, size-wise. I was never happy with the noise and recovery time with my 25 galon compressor. It's not necessarily the HP rating, but the volume in the tank.

It's kind of like head presure in a piping system ... similar principle ...

Well im pretty familiar with air compressors and i'd defineity go to home depot and get the 60 gallon 7 hp air compressor from husky you always want to go with cast iron blocks and heads for air compressors. also you have to use mobile 1 synthetic in it. the husky cast iron is super quite for a compressor. oil free is just plain obnoxious. so my advice go to home depot for 500 bucks you cant beat it buddy

Thanks for the input guys. I was at home depot the other day and check thier stuff out. I really want to go with a dual stage compressor, but the husky stuff made a 200.00 jump in price as soon as you went to the dual stage and it also didnt include any tools or hose. I started looking around at the tools and you could very easily have just as much in tools as you do a nice compressor. And that was just the basic tools.
