Fab ideas Ive always dreamed of having a lathe and tig welder, well now i dont own one but have access to both!! The only problem is i cant think of anything i need made now that i actiually can lol. My car is an lt1 and thus far ive rebuilt a set of headers that had mashed flat primaries from a wreck. Ive made my own y pipe and a few other misc brackets. Im about to build a press out of a manual bottle jack and other than that i was gonna make some visor delete plates. Now im drawing a blank! Im looking for some fresh ideas. Be it to make a useful tool or a car part i wanna hear some thoughts. I also would like to find an easy to make part that i could sell some extras of possibly. I have access to a press, a lathe, loads of metal, mig, tig, stick welders, plasma cutter, any bolt you could eever need and all sorts of other fab shop type goodies. Id like to see some ideas of things you guys have made or projects youve taken on. thanks!

thats awesome man. ive always wanted to have my own home shop , ive always had things i needed to make. but since a work in a machine shop now...its like i dont have a clue what to make!!!!!

i line bore and "upgrade" large pump cases and other odd stuff for oil refineries.
holding a .001" tolerance on a 20" diameter
here is the bottom half of a single stage- double suction "united pump"
i was still getting it setup there, so the bar had not been put in yet

Think we all like to do the opposite of our jobs when we're not on the clock.
Lt1- How bout custom fabbed valve covers ,Dress up the top of the intakeTo look like something Nelson racing engines might have built including integrated cover over throttle body,Custom made pulleys or pulley covers,Underhood component covers, Punched & flaired braces. Look at pics of ring brothers & similar builders cars, Come up with your own off one pcs.
