Looking for set of reverse pliers
You might start out with the Matco TP48R. They will open some fat rings but on cheaper versions (read: Craftsman,) the stamped design flexes and walks around some on rings that are caught on a machined groove.
If you outgrow those, step up to something like the Mac TP602R. I think I have hte Matco version of those. Their faces are smooth but they don't flex or slip or screw around like the stamped types ones but they don't fit into the narrowest of places either.
