Default Anyone Use Dimple Dies?

I'm doing some weight reduction on my car this winter and have been looking at some dimple dies at add strength after I cut holes in brackets.

I have been thinking about getting an arbor press to use the dies, but am not sure if it will have enough pressure to use the dies. Otherwise I will have to get an actual press, but I'm short on room in my shop.

Whats your thoughts on dimple dies used with an arbor press?? Mostly sheet metal, some thicker stuff

You can get some nice punch and flare tools from Mittler brothers as well as a few others... There are sets that will punch and flare holes in .125 4130.... you dont have to use a press...I have used a 1/2 inch impact with and tightened the the bolt until the hole is punched

I have seen the ones that use an impact gun as well. The dies I was looking at don't have that option though. But the price is alot more reasonable than some of the other ones that I was looking at.

I'll check out the Mittler Brother dies & thanks for the reply

Holy **** those are expensive. I have found a lot of options that are a lot cheaper than the Mittler Bros and are also made from 4130

Would you care to share those 'cheaper options' with the rest of us, we like to save $$$ too.
