First time tig, need some help
Tig welding... Post a few pic so we know what its doing. Allot of it is practice. I have the eastwood welder as well and i havent had much playtime with it but im still learning how to weld two pieces of aluminup piping together. If i had more time to play with it im sure i would have it and walking the cup down but just havent had enough time. make sure you gas is set at the correct flow and your heat is correct. just takes time...
There's definitely alot more information needed. Pics would help alot as well.
I am guessing you are going from thick gauge flat stock steel and moving to a thin wall tubing and blowing holes into it for a few reasons:
Amperage set too high.
Incorrect Polarity (pipe could be aluminum)
Inadequate tube preparation (if it is aluminized pipe, welding over it without prep gets ugly)
I'm in for some updates.
