I always keep the ones for my beer and the ones for my car in separate places. (Because I just wipe the ones for my car down with a rag and use them again.)

Yeah, but just wiping them down still leaves lots of oil. Do you keep them in a box or a bucket or something, or do you keep them on a shelf?

Just wipe them out and then slide them into a plastic bottle or something. That way the extra accumulates in that.

Also, some trash cans have little plugs in the top of them. Pop that out and slide it in there. It will just drip on your trash until clean!

What kind do you have? Most of mine are plastic and a paper towel leaves no oil.

That's an excellent solution.

Most of mine are plastic and a paper towel leaves no oil.
Mine are regular plastic, but when there's still residual oil no matter what I do. When I got done with them last night, I wiped them down and set them on a cardboard box I'm going to get rid of. Next thing I know, it was stained with oil.

Put an empty gallon jug of oil off to the side and slide it in the top every time you're done with it. You'll be surprised at the amount that builds up over time.

An old coffee can is perfect for this sort of thing:

I guess I'm dating myself because I think Starbucks killed these. I'm sure something at Costco still comes in a similar contraption.

the can of many uses, we would use my dad's empties to store the fat drained off from ground beef.

but yes I remember "The Best Part of Waking Up" aswell so your not to dated, still find it funny people would pay what they do for Starbucks, but I'm not a coffee person myself.

I have a Funnel Buddy. It solves the drainage problem and I also slip one or two smaller funnels inside the long one to keep them clean. They are sold at summit racing and other places as well.

Funnels are a uniquely shaped item that can be difficult to store. It may take a like creativity, but there are convenient ways to keep funnels organized.

Leave them wherever they end up. After searching for one, I just spray some brake cleaner in it and good to go. Don't know what all this fuss about dust is?
