Dumb n00b welding question
HOWEVER, I never got a regulator to go with the bottle, & now I'm looking to correct that oversight. Part of the problem that I have is that I don't recall what type of gas I have in the bottle - although I told the guy at the store that I was trying to learn to MIG weld, so it's probably the "typical" mix (if such a thing exists). I started looking at regulators at McMaster-Carr but quickly realized that I don't know enough to make an intelligent decision.

Anyone here care to help me out by making a suggestion as to which regulator might be appropriate??
Thanks guys.
Assuming you have the 115 volt Lincoln, this is probably what you are looking for:

Specs from Lincoln as follows:
Shielding Gas Apparatus
Harris® 3000290 Gas Regulator (S25805) and 52 in. (1.3 m) hose (S19303) for use with Ar/CO2 blend gases. For use with CO2 shielding gas, order a Lincoln Electric S19298 CO2 shielding gas bottle adapter.
Good luck. I am self-teaching as well though just flux core at the moment.
