ProCharged Truck Air Intake A custom 4" air intake for a Chevy truck with a ProCharger on it. Was an extremely tight fit! I forgot to take pictures of it all welded up. opps.. It made a huge difference in power over the 3.75" air filter just sitting on soaking up exhaust manifold heat.

That should do the job there.
I'm a big fan of getting proper cold air to an engine. Can't stand to see some of these I bought every little part as a kit engine swaps or upgrades with a cone filter just stuck on there in the worst possible location as far as hot air & also turbulent radiator air.
Too bad your pipe has gaps in it.

I'm going to need to do something similar with the intake on my V due to going 8 rib and a bigger aluminum radiator. What wall thickness aluminum are you using? If you dont mind me asking, where do you buy your material? I've had a hard time finding what I need.

Thanks! That is one of the biggest issues I have with almost everything you can buy now a days for cars, it can always use some work or cleaning up..
We used 3 Cast 4" aluminum elbows for the air intake. It is the only material that had such a tight radius. There is about a 1/4" of clearance in some of the areas. The casting is about 3/16" (.187) thick. I used 1/16" 5350 aluminum filler rod, medium gas lens, #10 gas cup, 2% Lanthanated .093 Tungsten with about 20cfm of argon.
We were going to build a heat shield and wrap the intake to make it even better. The customer is always busy in the oil field.
