turbo to supercharger conversion Hey everyone
I need some help from those more experience then me. I've startet an experiment i guess you could call it I'm converting a turbo to a belt drive much like a pro charger but if it works I will be making kits to convert any turbo to a belt drive supercharger however I need a gear box that has at least a 1:10 ratio. I am making the box from scratch out of 2 in thick aluminum which Is at the machine shop as we speak the only thing that is holding me up atm is the gears I need someone to explane to me how to buy gears. I need one that had 120 teeth and another that has 12 teeth but I don't want to buy two gears and find out they won't work together when I get them how do I tell if the gears will mesh when I'm buying them. Well I don't want to go with a full Turbo system I but a wiend is way out of my price range and I've always been fascinated with pro chargers and I have a full machine shoo at my desposal so I figured I'd try and make a conversion which is cost effective and I thought it would be a much cheeper alternative I did however find that the smallest gear I can get is a 24 tooth which should stand up a little better and I've also changed my designs from a single gear set to a double which will get me the same if not more rpms at the cluster of a little gear noise.

There isn't much difference in parts going from a complete turbo kit to a proper procharger kit... if you have a turbo, build a good turbo kit around it. if thats not what you want then sell it and get a procharger kit.
