has anyone built a catch can
has anyone built a catch can i would like to build my self a catch can, but i don't know how fancy i need to get. will a cylinder with steel wool be good enough? or do i need more then that? this will be going on a boosted ls. Any pics or ides are appreciated thanks.

Husky air compressor water separator(remove internal filter and put in steel wool), two NPT to barb fittings and plumb it with fuel line.
Expensive catch cans are gimmicks IMO because every motor is different so no one will know if the catch can on their motor is getting 100% of the oil. Unless you run a couple in series to prove how good the first one is at collecting oil.

DO NOT USE PVC for anything catch can related. Fine for Hondas with throw away engines but PVC + heat + oil/gas = nasty gas you do not want near your motor.
Two stage baffled media system works the best. Preferably with a sight glass on both chambers.
Honestly I made one out of random lawnmower filters, braided nylon tubing from home depot, gasket maker to seal hose connections, and a coors light pint can. Worked for a while lol

Then google image catch can pictures. They are not rocket science. It's a open cavity filled with steel wool that has more surface area to cool the vapors and let them condense.
