that clamp one is the ****. gonna have to copy that.

i got one kinda like it...an old cheapie socket with some slots cut in it an zapped onto a bessey clamp. its nice b/c I can still use the clamp (expensive lil fuggers)

but the head has to be off, so i'll have to make one like yours.

The valve spring compressor was not my idea, I got it from Squarels67, he has the 55 Chevy Turbo 6L build.
As for the name, I'm a huge Mustang (the car), die hard Ford fan, then turned into loving everything from GM to Dodge, to many models not enough time or Money.

I'm surprised no one has said much about this thread, and added to it with some other custom LS tools.

Thanks.

I made this today, it goes in the end of the crank, to be used with a 3 jaw puller, to remove for the crank pulley.

Stampede.

The clamp-based valve spring compressor is bad ***. I made this to make checking PTV easier. It saved me a lot of time, especially considering that the engine was in the car.

I'm a cheap bastard so this is right up my alley.

I made this crank pulley install tool, I took a stock pulley bolt, cut it and welded it to another bolt.

then I welded together this flexplate holder.

Here are some of mine

Oil primer out of scrap PVC

Simple flexplate stop. It's slotted so it can be slid in and out

This is one I copied from someone else. Old vise grips and muffler clamp made into a bead tool for the cold side.

My version of the valve spring compressor

Jig to hold 4L80 on my engine stand

Made this to compress the clutch springs in the 4L80 using my press
