Default Spark plug and headers, small airgap or touching sleeve?

So I was wondering what is better between having a tiny airgap between the spark plug wires or having a sleeve (in my case the Taylor 2000F) that touch the headers. As you can see I made a bracket that keep the wire away by maybe 1/4" from the header... If I use the sleeve it will touch for sure.

Can the sleeve whistand touching the header? The car will be used for lapping.

Default

Mine are pretty similar with no sleeve and I haven't had any issues. I did trim the boots on my wires so that there was no way they would rest on the header. Mine are Granatellis if that makes any difference.
