inexpensive code reader reads live data, readiness codes and erases codes Hey I bought this inexpensive scan tool and it does come in handy and its under $40! read and erases codes, reads live data and readiness codes it probably does more but it sure beats paying $80& up for a shop to diag your car, granted reading a code doesennt "diagnose" the failure but gets you looking in the right places, well worth the money IMO

Use one all the time, I downloaded the dash command app, I think it was like $10 or something plus the amazon thing. I like dash command, it has like trip record function..it will record your instruments for however long you let it and save a file to review later. Any at home wrench can benefit from these things and they're so cheap now idk why you wouldn't. The wireless and auto-sync features of these new ones are pretty sweet.
