Black chrome plated sockets and wrenches

Black chrome plated sockets and wrenches I see these more often now. I think Huskey is selling these now.
They look futuristic. Is black chrome a good finish for a tool? Is it better than the normal chrome or other platings used?

I've been curious about those too, I asume it's just for looks. I've seen some dark blue ones too (think MAC or Cornwell had them). I was going to try one of the ratchets but then I remembered how many black AN wrenches I have left under hoods because they blend in to well. I can picture myself coming home from a drive and seeing black sockets and wrenches scattered along my street.

When I did my first header install I lost 3 10mm sockets in the engine bay.
A few weeks later I let a buddy of mine drive the car to see what he thought. We were flying on this really gradually curving high speed on-ramp. All the sudden I see and hear something metallic fly from the front of the car and *tink* *tink* across the road it goes. My buddy was mortified, thinking something was broken but I knew what it was immediately. Goodbye 10mm socket #1!
The other 2 sockets were found when I had to remove the steering rack to install my poly engine mounts. They were nestled under there quite well, and quite rusty by then.

I bought some poly engine and transmission mounts a long time ago becasue my Lt headers were banging.
I installed the transmission mount last weekend and the banging stopped.
How hard is it to replace engine mounts; I was thinking of doing only one side maybe...
