Shock top rod socket?

Shock top rod socket? (Googling as I write this)
Are there any sockets that would fit the top of a shock rod? (it's like a male squared-off circle) I'm changing the shocks on my vette, and while it's easy to not have coilovers (did you know that the vette uses monoleaf springs? neat stuff), it's a pain b/c of course the nut is rusted to the rod / bolt, and to remove it you need to grip this tiny little nub with either an adjustable wrench or vise grips, and hope it works.
Anybody?

If it's rusted, don't forget to get some good penetrating oil & soak it down for a while before you try to dismantle it. S'ok is a good pen oil, but not easy to find. It's in a green can with a clover on it.
