Rubber boot for floor jack / jackstands
I'm looking for a rubber boot cover to go on my jack/jackstands so I don't scratch up my subframes, etc..
Anybody know where to get some?
Mods, I wasn't sure where to post this so if it needs to be moved, please do so.
Thanks.
Rick

Re: Rubber boot for floor jack / jackstands
Eastwood sells a replacement floor jack pad ( ( 1 3/16" center post ) for $19.99, I just bought ( at Tractor Supply Company ) a thick rubber truck mud flap and cut it to size. There enough to do the floor jack, all my jack stands and anything else I might want to use it for, you can use a heat glue gun to attach the rubber if you want.

Alot of show cars I had worked on we did all kinds of stuff to keep em mark free. Take an old radiator hose cut size aprox. to jack stand , slice it down the side with a razor & put the "rubber" on the jack stand. The pad for jacks work well, you can also use an old towel too.

hockey pucks work good. can be had at used sporting good stores if there are any near you. they're only a couple bucks each new.
