If the threads are not too bad, you might try to use a threaded tap with the same thread size and run it through the hole a few times.
Exactly which threads are stripped? Are they the spark plug holes, rocker arm threads, temperature guage, valve cover holes, or some other part?????

1. Heli-coil.
2. Drill and tap to larger size.
3. Weld, drill and tap new hole.
4. Drill, tap to larger size, insert plug (with or without sealer/epoxy etc.) drill and tap plug to size.
5. Plug with exotic epoxy such as Belzona Hi-temp Molecular Metal (kit cost about $200). Don't even think about using JB Weld or a simular product.
Just cry once and take it to a machine shop and have it repaired the right way. Or cry every week if you try to fix it on the cheap. There ain't no short cuts or cheap ways to do it right!
