What is everyone using to store their extra engine? Currently mine is on the engine stand, but that's taking up a bit too much floor space in my very small shop. I know Northern tools has a SB chevy model. Eastwood has a universal unit: http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...rID=234&KICKER

I custom built mine out of 2 2x4's and the castors off of my tool box. It cost me about $3.00 total and about 15 minutes time. When motor is on the dolly the oil pan is about 3 or 4 inches off the floor, but the edges of the 'dolly' (2x4 frame with castors attached to bottom) are a little higher (5-8") so that I can get my floor jacks under the edges in case I have to adjust/move the engine around during install. Got one built special for my DSM as well. It holds the entire engine/trans. Makes engine install/removal from the bottom rediculously easy...

But you could mount a SBC to it with some square tubing and some plate.

Mine actually doesn't look that bad. I had sort of planned it out somewhat before I built it, and with the $$$ I saved I got to buy some aluminum jacks...
