Torque wrenches that operate in both directions?

Torque wrenches that operate in both directions?

I know you would normally just need a torque wrench to tighten something down properly, but I need to set my belt tension at 25 ft/lbs., BUT....the way you pull on the Katech tensioner so I can put tension on the belt is a lefty-loosy pull.

Do they make them that operate in both ways?

My snap-on 1/2" torque wrench works in both directions.

Just a heads up...

Many TQ wrenches that read both directions will have different accuracies in either direction. For example, a TQ wrench that is +- 3% accurate clockwise might only be +- 6% counterclockwise. Just FYI....

Precision Instruments micrometer click torque wrenches carry the same accuracy spec in both directions.

A cheap 'bending beam' torque wrench will always go both ways. (and as long as the pointer is zeroed, it can be argued that it is more accurate than the average 'clicker'...)
