Default walmart scanner

i saw an OBD2 scaner at walmart the other day, there was one for around $70 and another for around $120, it says you can clear SES codes with it, wondring if anyone has seen this or used it or knows if it can be used to delete codes off the pcm, i really just need to clear a code for my cats as well as clear a code for !AIR

I am not sure, but if its only a scanner, then it will be able to clear the code, but not delete it. Meaning that the code will pop up again after a while. To delete/disable it out of the pcm, youd have to use more than a scanner.

What he said. I bought an Actron Scanner at AutoZone for $99 just to read codes and delete them. I have my friend/tunner make any adjustments to the tune with EFI live.

to DISABLE a code, to keep it from ever being set, like I think your trying to do (hollowed out/removed cats?) you need a tuning program like EFILive or something. If your just trying to clear a code that was set, and you've repaired whatever set it, the wal mart scanner is what you need.
