Default torque wrench question

i just picked up a 1/2 inch torque wrench from harbor freight, the kind with the dial in torque handle. nothing fancy, but useful none the less.

the first thing i did was take it out and look at it, like i do with all my new tools Well of course i decided to futz with the handle, and i turned the thing down below the minimum toruqe setting, i dont know why, i was just messin with it. Then i put it back at the setting it came at and put it in the box.

Next thing i did was read the directions that say never turn below minimum setting. whoops. Did i allready screw this thing up? Or did i have to turn it below 10 ftlbs and then try to use it to mess it up. Why do they say not to turn it that low anyway?

because by turning it below the minimum setting your stretching the spring inside. I wouldnt sweat it anyway, I doubt the Harbor Freight wrench is that accurate.

I doubt it's any less accurate than when it was still in the store.
