Cleaning epoxy from plastic

I've seen suggestions of acetone, engine degreaser (ex: Simple Green, Castrol Super Clean), Goof-Off, brake fluid, and Pine-Sol. Pine-Sol does damage some plastics, so I'd try the other stuff before it.

Most epoxy’s once cured are much more durable then plastics… I’d suggest mechanical means and then polishing up the plastic when you’re done. Any chemical that will remove the epoxy will at the very least make the plastic brittle.
