Learning to Weld in North Florida

I would really like to learn how to weld. Both mig and tig. I live in Jacksonville, FL and Tulsa welding school is down the road from me but I don't want to go to a real college like school. I don't have a year or more to do this. I am not wanting to open a business or use this for a career. I just want to be able to weld on my own car! Is there anywhere I can go or anything that I can do to learn how to do basic welding in a month or two? I hate looking for welders and I've had too many things ruined so I would really just like to do it myself.

Sometimes community colleges and technical training schools will offer abbreviated classes. I'd check into that....

What you need to do is find a good community college at take mig/tig classes for half a semester. 2 Days a week for like 10 weeks.
