tool to keep crank pulley from spinning?

Default tool to keep crank pulley from spinning?

tryin to torque my pulley down and the pulley just keeps spinning its in gear with the e brake on and the pulley wants to turn the tires over if i pull to hard.

is there a tool for this?

Use it all the time at work and I've never hurt a pulley.

summit has a tool to BOLT to the motor to keep it from spinning, kent moore has one too. i dont like the idea of a chain wrench, not up against 240 ft/lbs.

I bought the kent moore tool. It was brand new off eBay for like 35 bucks. Same tool used by the dealership to lock the flywheel in place.

Best way is to lock the flywheel in place.

Try these.. They are designed to lock up the crank from spining

• Summit Racing #SME-906008 (holds the pulley)

Are you sure your e brake works very well? I just did this about 2 weeks ago, and my car stayed still, even when pulling on the bolt with a breaker bar+pipe extension
