Socket question

What do I need for removing ARP head studs?

Is it an external torx set?

I think they are a 12pt head so you would just need a 12pt socket set.I could be wrong but when looking them up it lists it as having a 12pt head.Hope this helps.

you need a set of those anyway. every tool box needs those.

I wouldn't say EVERY toolbox needs them. I am a DIY mechanic. After my very large set of tools was stolen I was very short on cash to rebuild. I carefully weighed every purchase and went strictly with 6pt sets. It has worked perfect for me. It saved me money and they are better at preventing rounding off the standard 6pt bolts on our cars. Now, if you have aftermarket ARP you will obviously need the 12pts. When I get to that point I will grab me a set.
