Broken Screw
I pull out bad screws all the time at work so PM me if you have any questions.
Be glad it was not a titanium screw hahaha
If its not flush like you said take some GOOD needle nose vise grips that will fit on it and grab the screw so that you can turn them on a counter clockwise direction, you don't want the tool pointed straight down on it.
If you can get them on there and grap you will be able to remove it and can spray some penatrant on it a few hours before to help.
I do this quite a bit because drilling titanium sucks.....
If you are not dead straight with the easy out or close they will break a lot. Thats why drilling deaper helps, it keeps the easy out straight.
