In need of a socket ASAP
In need of a socket ASAP Alright guys I need to bleed my clutch in my 98z as soon as possible and I need a 7/16 socket thin walled in a 1/4" drive. Where in the hell can you find this magical socket. I have gone to NAPA, Autozone, Menards, Sears and guess what they dont have this thin walled socket. I'm not about to pay a shop to bleed the clutch I just need this socket. So if any of you guys can provide my with a link or guide me in a direction to find this socket I would very much appreciate it.
yea im not so lucky the socket hits the tranny just not quite enough room with a standard size. I'm just bout to get a grinder and make myself a thin walled socket.
I tried an 11mm socket too and standard wall just didnt fit. If you look at the stickys there is a write up on bleeding and they called for a 7/16 thin walled in a 1/4" drive so thats what I was looking for. When I tried to bleed it with a standard wall the bleeder is to close to the tranny and the socket would hit the tranny and I couldnt even force it on. So I need a thin walled socket for the tighter fit.

Well guys I drilled a couple of holes in the trans tunnel to bleed and WOW what a difference that made and now bleeding is a one man job 
. Shifts into all gears just fine except reverse. I cant figure this out, I just had the trans rebuilt by sixspeedsinc and when I begin to release the clutch in reverse the trans knocks and the stick pops out of reverse then I put it back in reverse and it locks fine. I dont know if its a clutch issue or a trans issue, every other gear shifts fine even at WOT, no loss of pressure. Do you guys have any ideas?

Check your master cylinder. Sounds like you may need a new master cylinder. From what I've been reading lately, the master cylinder seems to be more of a trouble maker than the rest of the system. I'm about to rebuild my Mcleod master with a wilwood rebuild kit.
Hey make sure you didn't plug the CAGS plug into the reverse lockout solenoid. They're both on the same side of the trans and can be mistaken. I did it once and couldn't back down off my Rhino ramps. Swapped them back and it was fine.
I already adjusted the stops on the shifter, its when I'm releasing the clutch in reverse it knocks then pops the shifter out of reverse. Then I push the clutch in and put it in reverse and it stays there. I can't figure out if this is a clutch or trans issue. The trans goes into reverse fine the gear isnt blocked off or hard to get into gear just when releasing the clutch.
What kind of clutch do you have? I wonder because I had to make my master cylinder adjustable in order to get my ls7 clutch to work. The clutch wouldn't disengage all the way and I could barely get it into any gear.
If I was going to guess, I would guess a traney problem. Did it go into R before the rebuild? You might want to check and see if your clutch is dragging. Put it in first with the clutch depressed and rev it to about 5 grand, if your car creeps forward then your clutch is dragging, which could be air in the lines or not enough throw from your master cylinder.
