Default Pinning socket to extension????

Ok so i am about to bleed the clutch on my Z28 and i read in the sticky for a sticking clutch pedal write up he said
To bleed the system, you will need a 7/16th” socket, thin-walled, in ¼ drive. It would behoove you to use a few swivels and extensions. I also highly recommend taping the socket to the extension/swivel/etc. If for some reason you drop the socket, it will end up at the bottom of the bellhousing and you will have a hell of a time fishing it out.
So my question is what is a good way to pin the socket on???

I would use some heatshrink tubing, works great, and a razor knife takes it off easily.

I'm a firm believer of electrical tape myself.

+1 for the elec tape. I also like using it on u-joint extensions so that they're not so wobbly.

And you can also buy locking extensions. I have some that the socket positively will not come off unless you release it.
