.

Built some pretty quick engines with the craftsman, no clamping issues. The good one, not the $50 model.

Play would be your own personal use.... garage stuff.... I wouldnt and have not used anything but a Mac or Snap On.... Tools are an investment they show that you're serious about what you do..

I have a couple sizes of Craftsman and they're both junky. I'm tired of Crapsman stuff. Snap-on from now on for me. It will be worth it in the long run.

Ive tried 2 craftsman from sears, first one was just a basic 1/2 torque wrench and the plastic handle on it cracked.

Then I ordered a "digital" craftsman wrench off their site only to find out that what was in the picture appearing to be a digital display was really a regular dial inside the handle made to look like computer numbers. (was told it has digits-hence digital...) I was gonna keep it anyways but then first time torquing the little display glass above the readout cracked.

Everywhere I looked after that had wrenches with plastic handles/pieces on them. Ended up finding a powerfist store-brand all metal torque wrench with calibration guarantee and have been happy since.

Make sure you go all metal, no stupid little plastic parts. I would stay away from craftsman. Snap-on if you can afford it.

I've got a MAC with the flex head because I need to get into some tight spaces on forklifts and heavy equipment. I cant say one bad thing about it. Highly recommended

snap-on flex head micrometer style. 20-100 ft lbs for 250, and worth every penny. you can even flag down just about any snap-on truck you find and they'll test it for accuracy for ya. plus you can send em in to get em recalibrated, and if you ever break it, they replace it. why f*ck around with a cheap torque wrench- either buy the 15 dollar HF cheapie or spend the 250 and never worry about it again

If you're not using them everyday, just get yourself a Harbor Freight TQ wrench. They're cheap, but work. I've got 3 HF tq wrenches and I've checked them back to back with both Snap on & Craftman wrenches. Right on the money everytime. And they're not $300+

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...Itemnumber=239

If you're using the wrench, every day all day. I would then go to the Craftsman or Snap on units.
