exhause modification question

Default exhause modification question

i have a 69 impala and can find headers that wonlt hit my ps gear box. id it possible to use the sbc headers that did fit and cut the flange off and use ls exhaust flanges?

Probably not real easily, because the SBC exhaust flanges are:

0--00--0

shaped, where the LS1 exhaust flanges are

0-0-0-0

Shaped.

You'd have to rework the upper part of the header quite a bit. It can be done, I'm sure, but you'll have to do a fair amount of welding to do it.

how difficult r the bbc headers to do?

i used my old big block headers for my car. but if you can cut and weld it is not a big deal. but thinking you will have to do that either way is cut and weld. it is not hard to do just time consuming
