Default Weird search problem

I can not search by relevancy when I do a search. Usually when you search in a forum you can change the option to relevancy or post date or whatever. But that option isn't available and when you select relevancy in advanced search it still does it by post date. Seems to have just started doing that within the last hour.

Anyone else have this problem?

glad iim not the only one to notice this. this makes searching for older more relevant threads very difficult.

I know theres been a lot of search problems lately. I say this in all seriousness and I swear im not trying to be a smart *** but I would be all for shutting LS1tech down for like a half day or something and just having the search completely gone through and whatever. I think others would be for this too... simply giving up a half day... even a whole day and just totally revamping the search, and try and fix these common intermettent problems.

Please please don't take me the wrong way and I have no idea about this computer stuff and im NOT downing the tech guys who work on it because theres no way I could ever do what they do, i can't imagine what a headache it must be sometimes, but im just saying, its getting to a point where I wouldn't mind some drastic action so it can just be totally gone through and whatever.

There were a number of issues with search, we installed a new search a few days ago (which has the "no relevance" issue) which should have rectified the other issues you were experiencing.

I posted this in another thread... it's at least a temporary workaround.

Now I don't know how new of posts it will find, but it at least is working better than the search function inside the site currently is. You don't need to use quotes or anything... just make sure the first part has NO SPACES, and you obviously don't need to use the "-" that I used in my example. Good luck... hope the search function gets fixed soon.
