Custom Avatar - Simply Won't Work

Custom Avatar - Simply Won't Work Dude, I can't upload a custom avatar to save my life. It is a bitmap, small enough (99x99px), and it is only 5KB. So it meets all of the criteria (from my understanding). I can't figure out why it won't let me upload it...

I'm pretty sure that you're correct that bmp isn't an allowed file format for an avatar. An error message of "This is not a valid image file." should be displayed. You would need to convert the image.

Interesting. I tried to convert it to both a gif and jpeg but neither of those worked. When i tried to convert it, it tells me "The BMP image has the incorrect file extension."
I'll just continue toy around with it until it works... or until I give up.

Try opening it in a photo editing program then "save as" and put .jpg at the end of whatever you save it as. That should work, you can't change file extentions if you aren't working with an original version of the image.
