Gallery photos in header

Just wondering if there was any rhyme or reason to which galleries are displayed in the page header at a given time?
Also I noticed it now displays several individual pictures from one gallery, rather than a number of galleries like it had. I liked the old way better personally

either way is cool with me, but it seems like its the same folks all the time...like under the old way, Time Lord was on there every freakin time id sign in

It was slowing the site down to randomly pull 5 pics. Its much less server intensive to randomly pull 1 persons gallery.
Sorry - but hopefully that explains it!
