Default Time out?

So I've noticed after logging into Tech and being idle for lets say about 10 minutes, when I go to refresh the page, I'm automatically signed out of tech for some reason...

I'm guessing there's a setting or something that needs to be changed... any help would be great. Thanks guys/gals!

Oh and I'm using Firefox if that has anything to do with it...

Do you mean you have to re-enter your username and password? If so, that is a cookie issue on your end with your browser. Make sure when you log in, you're selecting the "Remember Me" option. This sets a cookie in your browser. If you don't use that option, and if you close your browser window or reach the inactive threshold as defined by the AdminCP (generally anywhere from 15-30 minutes - but I don't know exactly what figure LS1Tech is using), you'll be logged out and your log in information will be forgotten. This is used, generally, for public computers.

If you still have to enter your username and password after you've become idle, then you need to delete your browser's cookies. Many simply suggest to delete all cookies, but then you'll lose all automatic log ins and perferences for other sites. I'd recommend you manually, singly, delete the LS1Tech cookie. How you do this depends on the browser you're using.

If you aren't having to enter your username and password, but you notice that threads/posts are marked as read and the Last visited time/date is updated after you've become idle for X minutes, then that is by design. While LS1Tech may have made an adjustment to that setting (I don't know for sure at the moment), the system has worked like this for some time. When you log into the forums, a counter starts counting down. Each time you click on an internal link, the counter resets. This counter is defined by the software through the AdminCP and is adjustable by the Administrators (global setting). On similar forums this setting is common to be anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Whatever LS1Tech is using for that value, whenever that time has counted down (you've been inactive), you are assumed to be inactive and all threads/posts will be marked as read - even if you didn't read them - for everything prior to your last active time/date on the forum.
