In my opinion, custom titles should not come back in. We have enough
issues policing custom avatars and signatures, this would just be one
more thing that needs policing. Sure, some if not most people would be
cool and choose a clean title, but there are those out there that will
try to buck the system and use profane or offensive language in their
titles.

Actually, I don't really care if we can do custom titles or not. Personally, I just want to 'fix' mine on my own if the board can't be updated properly.
Maybe just give those of us that are "stuck" access to fix our titles to what they should be, since there seems to be a glitch in the board.
Oh and about people abusing it. This is an adult board, and most of us don't need any supervision, so if some members are unable to handle it, just lock them out of accessing it. The way I see it, why would anyone abuse that anymore than abusing their sigs?...
