Default Title Change 10 sec to 9 sec Club Please

I was told by OP to post here as well!

I got invited by my good friend DBN to attend a private track rental at MIR on Friday 3/19/2010. I decided based on the weather forecast that I would make the trip. The wife is convinced that we are crazy now for sure!

The bad news first the weather forecaster just kept raising the temperature the original forecast was sunny and a high of 60’s by the time we got to the track Friday the new forecast was sunny and highs in the mid 70’s! We had a great day even though the DA was between 1,200 and 1,500 all day

The good news we made the trip with no issues crossed the Potomac on Route 301 which was an experience and before we knew it we were at the track! The track was very nice and well prepped everyone seemed to be having a great time including us!

I have been working with Eric owner of vonEric Performance on a new engine combo and he was able to come down and spend the day with DBN and myself. I made a fifth and sixth pass on the 75 HP nitrous jets to look at the plugs and Eric suggested that we needed to adjust the fuel in the tune so DBN made the adjustments and loaded it in the car.

Seventh pass was at 2:49 PM, 1.338 60ft, 10.18 ET at 130.44 MPH.

Everything looked great so we changed out the 75HP jets and installed the 125HP jets and adjusted the tune for the extra 50 HP. Then I was able to collect my first 9 second time slip!

Eighth pass was at 3:29 PM, 1.312 60ft, 9.982 ET at 132.92 MPH. New best ET and MPH! Adjusted fuel some more and went back out!

Ninth pass was at 4:04 PM, 1.316 60 ft, 10.007 ET at 134.48 MPH. Shifted 400 RPM too soon on 1-2 shift but stayed in it! New Best MPH! Came back around for another pass to correct driver error!

Tenth pass was at 4:11 PM, 1.314 60ft, 10.009 ET at 134.16 MPH. Made the same mistake on the 1-2 shift again! It gets to the shift point quicker than I am use too on the 125 HP jets.

Bottle pressure was done after that. I had a great day and it was so much fun!! We made the trip back home safe and sound!

9.98 run the one I have been looking for!

I want to thank GMRacin, DBN and Eric for all their help!

Can I get my 10 second club title changed to the more desired 9 second club please? Thanks!

Thanks, we only have 1/8 mile tracks close to home so when we go 1/4 mile racing we want to have as much fun as possible. I was very pleased with how the car performed. The wife did a great job doing the video work!

Crager,

Thanks a lot I was shocked when the timekeeper handed me that slip I knew it was a good run but when you are handed that first single digit slip it is a rush for sure! Thanks again for adding me to the single digit club!!
