My high school requires them, plus if I didn't have one I would lose my keys lol. Also the weight of keys for three cars is annoying in your pocket.

How does your High School "require" them? Do you carry around so many keys that it's necessary? I don't understand.

Probably for an ID. My senior year (01-02) we had to have one and constantly wear our ID. If you tried to come through the front doors without one you were sent home for the day.

Haha, you'd think so. I remember they passed some laws to make it where if you weren't going to school they were fining the parents, even making them take off work to come sit with their kids. A few of the ditchers from years past started to show up when their moms and dads started coming to class and sitting in the back.

its not a law that the parents have to come to school, but it is considered neglect if they parents arent capable of sending their students to school
(my source is the training course for soon-to-be teachers that i just passed this semester lol)

Could be different state by state, but I know there was a big deal about this going on in Texas whenever I graduated back in 02. I do remember some parents coming to class because JR. had been skipping. I'm considering going to alternative certification and teaching high school myself, maybe I'll learn what the rules are about it now.

I would rock the **** out of a tech lanyard! I put my keys on a lanyard so they are easier to pull out of my pocket due to my pocket knife always grabbing my watch and whatnot...

Yup, you have to have them. It's just a business thing really, we have like 3500 kids and lets say everyone goes through about 3 a year at $5, that's $50,000 in bull ****.

Also I have 3 cars which is a lot of keys, not to mention I have no *** so my pants have nothing to grab on to lol..

Wow, we had school ID's but we never used them. Hell, some 30 year old's were able to walk into our school dances and just chill. And I graduated in 08.

I graduated last year and had to wear an ID but i never did, i only went to school half the day though plus i was usually getting in trouble for something worse than an ID violation i.e. donuts in the teacher's parkin lot, skating through the hallways, tying the campus police cars together... Stuff like that

I got in more trouble for not having my ID on one day than skipping a day of school with some friends, retarded but whatever. Our security guards are fat and one guy has those arm crutch thingys to walk, they couldn't stop anyone if they wanted to.

I graduated in 03 and I never even had a "required" ID made. No one ever said anything. We never had security guards either. Always went to lunch and stayed out through my resource classes and then came back for my last class of the day and then left again with everyone else. Never any problems.
