Default Problem with receiving e-mails from this site.

How can I get my Yahoo e-mail to work with this site. It seems every other site works fine with my Yahoo, but this site never sends me instant notifications. If there is some special trick I have to do, please tell

I think you have to subscribe to threads for that to happen. LS1tech will send updates to the email that you provide upon registration.

I sent you a PM asking about your email address on file as I think it might be incorrect and might be an issue.

That said, I have often found this behavior with Yahoo and MSN. I've worked with many members who had email from either provider, and find that email from the site suddenly stops being delivered. Outside of checking to ensure the email is not going to your Spam/Bulk/Junk folder, in nearly all of the cases I've worked with, the member simply changing to another Yahoo.com email address, or another provider, "fixed" the issue.

It suggests to me that Yahoo and MSN have something behind the scenes at play when doing the above "fixes" the issue as there is no other explanation for why one Yahoo.com email address stops receiving email while a new one, and other old accounts, still receive the emails as intended.

In addition, I checked the database. Since the start of this month, 8 days into the month, there have been a total of 126 new members who signed up using a Yahoo.com email account (your provider). Of those 126, 100 of them are Registered user group. In order for a new account to get into the Registered user group, they must receive and act upon an email notification sent from the forums. Therefore, we can best conclude 100 of those 126 received the email notification via Yahoo. There are 26 that are still in "Users Awaiting Confirmation", which could be explained by those users not having acted upon the email notification - yet.

What I'm trying to say, is, it appears the email notification issue to your account appears isolated. There have been a few others who have reported a similar issue, and the conclusion is usually the same. They simply change to another Yahoo.com email address, or another provider, and their email suddenly works again. Since all settings on their forum account are correct, it suggests it's something on the provider's side that is beyond LS1Tech's control.

That is correct, but I checked the account in question and the default is set to Instant Email Notifications. So it appears their account is correct.
