Change default search method to RELEVANCE
I always change my search option to RELEVANCE versus Last Posting Date because I always get more results. Everyone always complains about not searching, but I guarantee changing the default search bar (the one that always shows up, the new one) to search by relevance will have a major impact. More relevant results show up. Who cares when the last time it was posted? Data from 2005 can be just as good.
Just a suggestion.

Oh... well I agree with that... search function sucks *** here.... plus, there are so many bullshit threads that get thrown in the mix when you search... I cant stand it. I dont mind the date as the information can still be relevant... MODS help????

Mine already defaults to sort by relevancy using an advanced search. I usually change mine to sort by thread start date to get the most recent posts first - older posts usually have broken links, missing pictures, etc. that make them pretty useless.
I'm not sure why your account would be any different than mine.

When you go to Advanced Search:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/search.php
Change the Sort Results by option to whatever you want. Click on the GO button next to the Save Search Preferences at the bottom of the page.

Hah! I never saw the "Save Search Preferences" at the bottom in my years on this site.
With that said, anyone who sucks at searching needs to read this, or the default should be Relevancy.
