We also have a 50 post minimum requirement (or 6 months membership) to post a new classified ad in the parts for sale forum. This was done to help reduce the potential of newly-registered scammers taking advantage of our members. Now they will have to post in the technical and racing forums to earn their post count, which may help turn them away.

Forums with disabled post-counting:

Introductions & Greetings
Signature Test Forum
Racer's Lounge
Multimedia Exchange
Street Racing & Kill Stories
All Classifieds Forums
All Regional Forums

Basically, if it isn't a technical forum, the posts do not count in it.
Looking at your account, the above is why your post count hasn't increased.

Is there no way of applying for a lift of these rules? I mean, I'm serious about buying stuff and find it annoying to have to resort to PM and as such "sneaking in" behind to see if I can make a deal. I'd rather do it out in the open. I use this same username on a lot of forums and have a bunch of positive feedback there and have been a member of several well known forums for decades (thirdgen.org, corvetteforum.com) and I operate my own little community (vettemod.com).

50 posts is quite a bit for a n00b to get.

No, there is no way:

If anything, I expect that the rules will get more strict due to the amount of people that try to post ***** their way to 50 posts.
