Why does the time always seem wrong?

Yes, you need to set it in your User Control Panel. Look at the top of the page just a little below the main LS1Tech banner. In the red bar click on "User CP". Then on the left hand side click on "Edit Options". Scroll down to "Date & Time options" and set the Time zone setting to central time(is that what you are)? Then scroll all the way to the bottom of that same screen and click save changes. That's it, welcome back to the future.
