What happened to all the old posts
What happened to all the old posts I was looking through the site and noticed that everything past 30 days old has been purged. If so why? Man that is a lot of good info and knowledge that some brilliant folks spent many hours typing that is gone forever. It would appear that now everyone has to answer the same old questions for the newbies every 30 days.

Perhaps the issue is your display preferences? Scroll to the bottom of the thread display on the main page for any section, and you'll see a drop down menu that you can change from "last month" to as long as "beginning" (this is under a header called "Display Preferences"). I just did this in the Gen III Internal Engine section and pulled up posts from November of 2001. It's all there, as usual.

I just figured that out. I have no idea what it was set to before, but just now it was set on default which is 30 days. I never have changed it but at sometime it got changed somehow as only recently the 30 day thing started popping up. I have now changed it to all threads and all is good.
I think maybe the "default" setting should be more than 30 days. I am wondering if the default used to be longer. JMO
