Exclamation Lag issues and crashing

I know I posted this up once before about the YouTube (embedded not links) videos making the site crash. Not only is that a issue but the site is very laggy as of about 3-4 days ago.

I've had this issue for weeks now. Any embedded you tube vid, I have to hit the link to run the video. Hitting the "play" button in the thread causes the site to crash. I have also noticed the same "laggy" condition for the same period of time.

It's very annoying. I hardly ever use my laptop cause I hardly ever home. My phone or iPad get all of the work.

Is this on an Apple mobile device? I have seen other reports outside of LS1Tech about this issue that appear to point to this being an issue with Apple mobile devices. LS1Tech simply uses a BBCode that tells your browser the application to use to play the video that's hosted on YouTube. In short, I don't believe this is within LS1Tech's control as it's really between the Apple device and the YouTube application.

Yes it is on an apple device. I've heard that same reasoning before but the facts are that I use this device on many sites and this is the only one with the issue.

Like I said, I've seen this issue reported online with YouTube videos causing iOS crashes and it is not confined to LS1Tech. LS1Tech doesn't have much control over that as LS1Tech don't host YouTube videos. LS1Tech simply pass on the necessary code to your browser to interpret what is posted and play the video - hosted on YouTube.

If you want to point me to one of those sites that embeds a YouTube video in a vBulletin forum and doesn't crash your iOS, I'll take a look at their code. But I'd like to note that the issue can be intermittent and so you might want to make sure your example doesn't crash your iOS at all.

As far as lagging, I have to admit I think LS1Tech is a bit pokey at times, however, that and the YouTube video crashes have absolutely no connection at all. Server performance can't really cause a remote browser to crash.

One of the other reasons (which is mainly the cause) is that they are running an old version of vBulletin. Once they upgrade the version to at least 4 it should fix most of the problems.
Version 5 just came out so I would discard that option for now until the first patch is out.

I can't quite agree. Again, the code that is being used to embed the YouTube videos is a simple code, via a plugin, that tells the browser what the file is and how to handle it. LS1Tech doesn't host the content and doesn't really handle the process. LS1Tech doesn't need an upgrade to change that code as it can be changed via a plugin. vBulletin is very modular and easily customizable and LS1Tech's is modified. LS1Tech is owned by the same company that also owns the vBulletin software.
