This is what I see when I click on an attachment to open.
Typically, this would open directly in HPT.
This site adds that long string of numbers in front of the file. Saving without that string does not work either.....
On this site, it only gives me the option to save, not to open.
See below
IE 11
I really don't know anything about add ons. I

Attached is a screen capture showing that it is working correctly for me with Windows 8.1 and IE.

You might try clearing your browser's cache. If you use the built-in script to clear the cache and have LS1Tech bookmarked, you will need to remove the check box for Preserve Favorites data.

I noted that just before I came back here to see if you had a solution.
So I tried your suggestions, and no change. Still calls it a .html file.
But I did lose all my saved log ins......

Which is no problem. I get that everytime Comcast Norton cleans up my pc for me.
I can open the files however by saving as and changing the file extension to .hpl or .hpt.

Regarding the original issue, you might try another browser and/or disabling Norton to see what the results are. I'm not quite sure why your browser is identifying it as an HTM file when it's not and on our end the file is a HPL file and is working correctly for my tests.
