Anyone else have this happen? Spam email Got a PM from a guy on here about a part I was selling, he was a new register but I figure he was fine to sell to as long as he used PayPal. He asked for my paypal addy and I gave it to him. Never got the money or any response to my PM. About 45 minutes after I PM'd him my email got completely blown up with spam messages in my inbox.

Without any further information, it's pretty hard to say without it being a pure guess. Did you report the PM, clicking on the 
that is shown in the top-right corner of the message, so that staff can look at the specific account?
There are spam measurements in place, but no solution can be 100% accurate without false positives or some getting through.
