We are ready to launch a new way to enjoy the LS1Tech community from your desktop/iPad devices!

It's still a beta, but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your iPad/desktop device, you can now choose a desktop dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎

We are looking to you for feedback about the experience. Being that you are one of the first communities we're trying this out on we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide in this thread.

Please enable dark mode using the toggle at the upper right, and let us know your feedback!


Along with the theme, we're also including a new iconset with dark mode to highlight thread status:

Huge fan of dark mode. Wish it had been around before I got old.

 

Feedback: Is there a way to embed some code that automatically changes a person's font color to be visible in dark mode? I've already seen a few threads where people have had issues reading a person's posts because of a similar color font.

 

There does seem to be a challenge with font contrast. If I default to dark mode, it seems to set my text color to a light color in posts. That makes the text difficult to read by those not using dark mode.

 

this happens when you copy and paste the text you enter. the editor is designed to maintain styling and colour so if you copy black text and paste it while in dark mode, it will be barely legible.
